For Unemployed Magazine, photographer Jason Thomas Geering presents Path of Symbols, a comprehensive fashion editorial series that reimagines the Major Arcana tarot cards through a contemporary, high-contrast lens. Each composition channels a distinct archetype, utilizing stark monochrome lighting and grainy textures to evoke an analogue aesthetic. Technically precise and visually graphic, the project leans into surrealism and chiaroscuro lighting to elevate the styling. The series features movement direction by Alicia Fotino, which plays a pivotal role in the dynamic, sculptural posing of the subjects. Hairstyling by Andrita Renee and makeup artistry by Ryo Kuramoto provide textural depth, with Gothic blackletter typography and Roman numeral frames anchoring the collection in a cohesive, ritualistic design language.
