Description

Photographed by Carlijn Jacobs for AnOther Magazine, 'To see a world in a grain of sand' is a sprawling fashion editorial that prioritizes tactile complexity and sculptural silhouette. Fashion editor and stylist Katie Burnett curates an assembly of layered textiles—ranging from structured plaid and voluminous ruffles to delicate lace—to evoke a poetic, grounded atmosphere. The imagery moves between moody, chiaroscuro-heavy portraiture and high-key, luminous compositions enriched by botanical elements. Technically, the series leans into an analogue aesthetic, utilizing a mix of raw, grainy textures and soft natural light to emphasize the materiality of the garments and set design. Production was supported by set designer Nicholas William White, with casting led by Giulia Massullo and Piergiorgio Del Moro. Hair styling by Laurent Philippon and makeup by Lucy Bridge provide a cohesive, ethereal finish across the diverse range of featured models.
