Description

Story Café’s brand identity project establishes a narrative-driven aesthetic for the specialty coffee shop. The design system centers on typographic storytelling, utilising a palette of vibrant hues like pink, yellow, and orange alongside earth tones to ground the brand. The execution leans into a minimalist and graphic approach, often employing screen print techniques and vector illustrations that feature recurring characters and motifs. Developed by the creative team at For The People with illustration work by Illana Bodenstein, the identity spans packaging, digital web layouts, and tactile printed ephemera. The collateral, which includes coffee bags, ceramic saucers, and library-inspired borrowing cards, uses bold serif typography to weave literary-style prose into the physical experience of the brand. This combination of clean layout design and editorial narrative reinforces the shop's identity as a destination for craft coffee and storytelling.
