Captured backstage at the Dries Van Noten Fall/Winter 25 presentation, this editorial photography series documents the intricate preparations and sculptural styling defining the runway collection. Photographer Vincent Fandos employs high-contrast, low-key lighting and monochromatic palettes to isolate the tactile richness of the garments, from feathered headpieces and beaded capes to textured knitwear. The compositions lean into a raw, documentary aesthetic, emphasizing the interplay between light and shadow on both fabric and form. Working in collaboration with hair stylist Olivier Schawalder and makeup artist Inge Grognard, the project captures the final moments of runway readiness against backdrops of deep red velvet drapery and stark studio environments. The resulting portraits highlight the artisanal detail of the collection, favoring a clean, intimate focus on profile studies and intricate beauty direction.
