Photographed by Bella Newman for Self Service, The Obsessions is a sprawling fashion editorial that leans into a cinematic, atmospheric aesthetic. Across a series of outdoor portraits, the work captures model Irina Shayk in diverse, rural, and woodland settings, utilizing a mix of high-contrast monochrome and warm, natural light palettes. The project incorporates a raw, tactile quality through the frequent use of analogue film techniques, including noticeable grain and deliberate light flare. With fashion direction by Tony Irvine and creative oversight from Editor-in-Chief Ezra Petronio, the styling balances structured tailoring and dark knits against the organic, grassy landscapes of the location shoots. Completing the editorial team, Erol Karadağ provided hair styling while Allie Smith handled makeup, maintaining a sharp, clean focus that complements the project’s nostalgic and occasionally surreal tone.
