Mágoa is a fashion editorial feature for Rain Magazine that centers on a study of monochrome portraiture. Through a series of studio-based compositions, the work explores the interplay between sharp tailoring and high-contrast lighting, alternating between high-key minimalism and dramatic chiaroscuro. The project features photography by Zach Phan, who employs a mix of soft directional lighting and graphic shadow play to highlight textural elements like knitwear, leather, and tailored separates. Grooming and hair styling by Rafael Estrella Dunn emphasize the sculptural form of the subject, model Jack Stewart, whose varied postures and expressions define the editorial’s restrained aesthetic.
