Present Space: Double Dutch

Date

Apr 2025

Description

Double Dutch is a fashion editorial series for Present Space that explores sculptural silhouettes and tactile materials through a lens of clean, architectural minimalism. The project shifts between stark, high-key studio environments and textured urban backdrops, focusing on the interplay between modern apparel and its surrounding space. Creative direction by Juan Duque and Nima Habibzadeh centers the narrative on precise styling and form. Captured by photographer Sonia Szóstak, the imagery leans into a contemporary aesthetic, utilizing analogue film techniques and natural light to document the layered textures of the garments, ranging from wooden beadwork to quilted outerwear. The series features model Caitlin Soetendal, whose direct, neutral presence anchors the editorial's focused compositions.
