Players #1 2025 Covers presents a series of editorial portraits featuring athletes, designers, and cultural figures. Executed with a clean, minimal aesthetic, the project utilizes bold typography and layered graphics to frame subjects, ranging from studio-based close-ups to stylized location portraits. The visual language leans into a mix of monochrome palettes and warm, high-contrast lighting to define its distinct magazine cover format. The series highlights a collaborative effort led by creative director Ricardo Gomes, with fashion direction and styling by Carine Roitfeld. The photography includes contributions from Brigitte Niedermair, Cam Hicks, Mario Sorrenti, Nick Knight, Nolan Zangas, Quil Lemons, Raphael Bliss, and Richie Talboy. On-camera talent includes Dwyane Wade, Lara Stone, Ella Richards, Giorgio Armani, Jerry Lorenzo, and Spike Lee, among others. The production draws on a broad creative team for hair, makeup, and set design to maintain consistency across the diverse portrait set.
