COUTURE TIME W/ @dior HORLOGERIE
Jun 2026
In a striking collision between traditional luxury and experimental beauty, Nu Icons presents Couture Time, a campaign that recontextualizes the refined precision of Dior Horlogerie through an avant-garde lens. The series pushes the boundaries of typical watch advertising, shifting focus from pure commercial display to an intimate, high-fashion exploration of color and texture. Photographer Jabe captures a series of editorial portraits that lean into a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing stark white backgrounds and precise studio strobe lighting to isolate the intricate details of the timepieces. The project is defined by its bold chromatic palette, where vibrant lime greens, soft pinks, and punchy yellows serve as the primary conduits for visual storytelling. Key to the project’s success is the sophisticated makeup artistry that blends seamlessly with the hardware, treating the skin as a canvas for hand-painted floral motifs and neon-accented macro work. Ryoji Imaizumi lends a crucial sense of organic movement through voluminous, natural hair styling, while Cecilia Abbas provides meticulous manicurist detail that elevates the tactile nature of the wrist-focused shots. Model Victoria Volt anchors the narrative, moving effortlessly between classic beauty poses and experimental macro close-ups. By prioritizing a clean, high-key lighting approach, the imagery successfully bridges the gap between high-end horology and contemporary editorial minimalism, proving that luxury accessories can be as expressive and artistic as the faces that wear them.
