Denim & Diamonds is a studio-based fashion editorial for Net-A-Porter, showcasing a series of portraits that juxtapose casual apparel with high-end jewellery. The project leans into a clean, minimalist aesthetic, using neutral studio backdrops to highlight the contrast between textile denim and intricate metalwork. Photographer Rodrigo Carmuega captures model Aylah Peterson in a variety of tailored looks, ranging from oversized shirting and denim jackets to structured midi dresses. Fashion editor Kristen Neillie pairs these garments with layered diamond and gold accessories, while hair stylist Astor Hoxha maintains a slick, refined look throughout the series. The execution relies on varied studio lighting techniques, including both soft, diffused beauty light and high-contrast, directional illumination, to accentuate fabric texture and gemstone detail.
