Modern Matter presents THE SPACE BETWEEN, a fashion editorial project that captures a series of structured and contemporary silhouettes. The editorial, overseen by Editor-in-Chief Olu Odukoya, utilizes clean studio lighting and a desaturated palette to highlight the tactile qualities of high-end designer garments. Photographed by Takashi Homma, the series focuses on sharp lines and architectural tailoring, featuring a diverse lineup of models in pieces ranging from patent leather jackets and wool blazers to translucent outerwear. The visual aesthetic is defined by a consistent, minimalist approach with fashion styling by Shotaro Yamaguchi and hair styling by Tomi Kono. The project relies on clean compositions and natural light to emphasize varied fabric textures, including satin, fur, and heavy wool.
