Modern Matter presents THE SPACE BETWEEN, a fashion editorial project that documents contemporary silhouettes through a restrained, minimalist lens. The series employs a desaturated palette and consistent studio lighting to emphasize the structural integrity of the featured designer garments, from tailored tweed blazers and wool coats to patent leather outerwear. Photographer Takashi Homma leads the visual execution, utilizing clean composition and even, natural light to document the layered textures of the collection. Fashion styling by Shotaro Yamaguchi focuses on oversized proportions and sharp tailoring, while hair styling by Tomi Kono provides a variety of textures throughout the editorial. Editor-in-Chief Olu Odukoya oversees the project, which leans into an editorial aesthetic characterized by a neutral backdrop and granular detail.
