First Rays is a men's fashion editorial series for MMScene that explores the intersection of coastal landscape and intimate portraiture. Shot by photographer Joey Leo, the project leans into a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing natural light and high-key exposure to sculpt the subject within both rugged outdoor settings and clean studio environments. Throughout the series, the imagery shifts between contemplative profiles and dynamic, athletic movement. The use of cinematic diptychs creates a dialogue between desaturated, atmospheric interiors and the warmth of the golden hour, prioritizing clean lines and soft shadow play to highlight natural form.
