LITTLE BITES is a visceral editorial series produced for MMScene, captured by photographer Joey Leo. The project explores the intersection of form and texture through a collection of intimate, high-contrast portraits and macro studies. By stripping away complex artifice, the work focuses on the raw physicality of the subject and the tactile nature of its recurring motif—the cherry. Technically, the series oscillates between stark, monochromatic chiaroscuro lighting and warm, natural light compositions. The aesthetic relies heavily on tight macro framing, which renders skin, hair, and droplets with clinical detail. Throughout the project, the focus remains on sculptural anatomy and the interplay of shadow, utilizing minimal studio environments to create a clean, grounded visual narrative.
