Marni
Fall 2024 Vol. 1 Ad Campaign

Aug 2024
The Marni Fall 2024 Vol. 1 ad campaign presents a compelling dialogue between refined luxury fashion and the grit of the urban environment. Under the creative direction of Francesco Risso, with art direction by Sergio Cattivelli and photography by Colin Dodgson, the project leans into a raw, tactile aesthetic that grounds high-end garments in everyday reality. The campaign utilizes a mix of natural light and studio portraiture to highlight the intricate textures of patchwork suede, sheer grid-patterned fabrics, and sculptural jewelry. Stylist Carlos Nazario curates a diverse cast—including Chiara Pino, Jessica Bagnall, Ghali, and Ileana—who embody a relaxed, contemporary edge against backdrops of weathered concrete and rust-toned industrial surfaces. This editorial series consistently integrates a vibrant, hand-drawn red script logo as a graphic overlay, creating a visual bridge between the individual portraits and the commercial narrative. Techniques such as subtle collage-like compositions and macro photography accentuate the brand's attention to detail, from polished gold clasps to meticulously layered argyle knitwear. By balancing these deliberate editorial choices with a candid, lifestyle-oriented sensibility, the campaign captures a sense of modern ease. The result is a cohesive, high-fashion storytelling effort that feels both personal and polished, effectively bridging the gap between traditional luxury house visual tropes and a more experimental, graphic-forward future for the brand.
