MARFA
Clunie Fretton

Apr 2025
MARFA presents Clunie Fretton, an editorial portrait series that captures the intersection of craft and personal style. The project features a sequence of images set within an artisan workshop, juxtaposing high-fashion sensibilities against raw, textured surroundings. Photographer Jessica Madavo employs natural light and analogue film techniques to achieve a candid, documentary-style aesthetic. Fashion editor and stylist François Gravel curates a look that bridges minimalist wardrobe choices with the gritty, tactile environment of the studio space. The visual narrative is defined by clean compositions and an earthy palette, highlighting a focus on craft and authentic detail.
