Magliano
Spring 2024 Ad Campaign

Mar 2024
For the Spring 2024 ad campaign, Magliano leans into an evocative, grounded aesthetic that masterfully bridges the gap between high fashion and the grit of everyday life. Under the creative direction of Luca Magliano, photographer Stacy Kranitz captures a series of vignettes that feel less like traditional product marketing and more like frames from an intimate, unscripted film. Set against the distinct backdrop of Italy, specifically within the Emilia-Romagna region, the imagery utilizes natural light to weave together disparate scenes ranging from modest, lived-in interiors and quiet boat decks to the kinetic energy of a dimly lit nightclub. The campaign excels in its documentary-style approach, where the interplay of editorial portraiture and cinematic storytelling brings an authentic weight to the oversized blazers, pinstriped tailoring, and utilitarian streetwear. Whether focusing on the tactile quality of denim or the raw stillness of a twilight field, the series employs a low-key chiaroscuro technique to emphasize contrast and texture. This project effectively repositions luxury fashion as an essential component of a textured, lived-in reality, proving that even the most structured silhouettes hold a deep, human pulse. By avoiding the gloss of conventional luxury, the campaign remains anchored in a sense of place and presence, offering a sophisticated study in mood and movement that feels refreshingly honest.
