Rooted Silence is a fashion editorial commissioned by Lula Japan, captured by photographer Eleonora Vergnano. The series leans into a tactile, rugged aesthetic, setting high-fashion silhouettes—including avant-garde capes, distressed lace, and sculptural knitwear—against the stark backdrop of an alpine landscape. Utilizing a mix of colour and monochrome film, the project emphasizes organic textures and atmospheric, moody lighting. The imagery bridges the gap between raw, natural environments and refined styling, with elements like rustic stone architecture and wild meadows grounding the editorial in a quiet, nostalgic atmosphere. Techniques including grainy film stocks and polaroid-style framing further enhance the project's visceral and intimate tone.
