Louis Vuitton
'Taurillon Monogram' Spring 2023 Ad Campaign

Jul 2023
Louis Vuitton breathes fresh life into its heritage with the Taurillon Monogram Spring 2023 ad campaign, a vivid exploration of modern luxury set against the backdrop of an idyllic, blooming landscape. Under the vision of creative director Pharrell Williams, the project masterfully bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary lifestyle, featuring a curated selection of bags and accessories that feel both timeless and urgent. Photographed by Javier Castán, the campaign utilizes soft, diffused natural light to highlight the intricate textures of embossed leather and the brand's iconic monogram canvas. Through an editorial lens, the imagery captures a series of dynamic, candid interactions between models like Leon Dame and Jeremiah Berko Fourdjour, positioning the collection as an essential companion for the modern traveler. Art direction by Lucie Matussiere elevates the narrative, placing structured duffle bags and cross-body silhouettes within lush, verdant gardens and glass-walled greenhouses. With a deliberate shift toward organic, cinematic compositions, the campaign leans into a soft-focus aesthetic, using elements like budding white tulips and weathered stone plinths to ground the high-fashion subjects. Stylist Pau Avia frames the apparel in a palette of muted greens and vibrant accents, perfectly complementing the playfulness of the accessories. By eschewing rigid studio settings for this atmospheric, lifestyle-driven approach, the campaign succeeds in grounding its luxury status in a serene, nature-inspired environment.
