Instyle’s 'Desert Flower' project is a fashion editorial series that places high-concept designer pieces within a vast, arid landscape. The imagery leans into a cinematic, rugged aesthetic, contrasting voluminous, textured garments—ranging from metallic fringe to layered leather and quilted outerwear—against the raw, earthy backdrop of remote mountain roads and desert scrub. Shot on location, the series utilises natural light to ground the editorial styling. The work features creative direction by Justine Cullen and photography by Tim Ashton, with fashion styling by Rachel Wayman. The production, managed by APRH Productions, employs an analogue film technique to capture its atmospheric, grain-rich aesthetic.
