Idle Hour
Brand Identity

Apr 2026
Idle Hour introduces a refreshing perspective to the crowded CPG food and beverage market, masterfully blending the ritualistic precision of ceremonial matcha with a playful, unhurried brand identity. Through this comprehensive brand identity project, the creative team at Praktika leans into a high-contrast visual language that balances the clinical, sleek allure of silver metallic packaging with the organic, fluid forms of custom-drawn typography. The visual ecosystem, which ranges from minimalist editorial flat lays to surreal, cinematic compositions, successfully captures the quiet tension between the hurried pace of daily life and the deliberate act of pause. Utilizing a mix of sharp studio strobe lighting and grainy, lo-fi VHS aesthetics, the campaign creates a tactile experience that feels both grounded in product quality and dreamily aspirational. The interplay between vibrant color-blocked labels and a restrained, dark brown and silver palette gives the product a distinct shelf presence that is modern and highly curated. By centering the brand on the philosophy of an hour that belongs to no schedule, the project avoids the typical wellness tropes, opting instead for a sophisticated, typography-led narrative that treats the matcha tin as a design object. Whether through carefully staged product stills or dynamic motion-blurred imagery, this brand identity establishes Idle Hour as an essential accompaniment for those seeking intention in their everyday routine.
