Bridges and Blazers is a menswear editorial feature for ICON Magazine Mena, exploring the interplay between classical architectural heritage and contemporary sartorial styling. Through a lens of deliberate texture and muted palettes, the series focuses on the integration of traditional tailoring—such as tweed blazers, shearling-collared overcoats, and structured trenches—with progressive elements like pleated kilts, fuzzy mohair knits, and modern layering techniques. Photographed by Nicolas Valois, the editorial employs an analogue film aesthetic, characterized by pronounced grain and high-contrast monochrome tones that elevate the interplay between the subjects and their urban surroundings. The compositions move between quiet, contemplative portraits and dynamic street-level movement, set against historical stone monuments and riverbank embankments. Production was led by Jean-Marc Mondelet, with fashion direction by Kim Payne and hair styling by Jean-Luc Amarin. The imagery channels a nostalgic, documentary-style approach, leaning into natural light and the weathered masonry of the city to define the project’s distinct atmosphere.
