HERO Magazine I; Spy 2026

About

HERO Magazine presents I; Spy, a fashion editorial series that leans into a noir-inspired aesthetic. Through a collection of monochrome portraits, the project channels cinematic tension and suspense, emphasizing sharp tailoring and detailed textures like woven leather and structured blazers. The series features models Aleksandr Buinitski and Philippe Proust. Each image uses high-contrast, low-key chiaroscuro lighting to cast dramatic shadows against minimalist studio backgrounds, creating a gritty and clean visual register. Techniques such as analogue film photography and matte finishing are utilized to build a narrative atmosphere. The project leans into classic iconography, incorporating props like vintage cameras and magnifying glasses to ground the editorial in a theatrical, period-adjacent framework.
