HERO Magazine presents a limited edition zine project featuring actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, captured through a series of high-contrast editorial portraits. The work leans into a clean, studio-focused aesthetic, balancing classic monochrome photography with experimental mixed-media interventions. Photographer Fabien Kruszelnicki utilises a range of techniques to deconstruct the traditional portrait, incorporating collage, layered photographic fragments, and hand-applied graphic overlays. Styling by Sean Knight and hair by Mira Chai Hyde lean into sharp, tailored menswear that provides a rigid, structured counterpoint to the softer, often surrealist floral elements integrated into the compositions. Throughout the zine, Kruszelnicki employs an analogue film feel, with even, directional lighting that emphasises the subject's features and the texture of the garments. The result is a dynamic visual sequence that blends formal portraiture with artistic, graphic-heavy collage layouts.
