HERO Magazine: Jet Set

Jet Set is a multifaceted fashion editorial for HERO Magazine, captured by photographer Jonas Unger. The project centers on a series of male models, including Duncan Yair, Ibra Niakate, and Julio Taeno, presented through an layered, documentary-inspired visual narrative. Fashion editor and stylist Michael Philouze curates a wardrobe that spans casual apparel to structured outerwear, while makeup artist Sergio Alvarez rounds out the aesthetic. The execution relies heavily on collage techniques, blending analogue film photography with textured backgrounds, archival graphic elements, and 1970s-inspired motifs. Across the layout, the imagery oscillates between candid street-style portraits and staged architectural shots. The result is a tactile, scrapbooked aesthetic that utilises raw grain and screen print effects to bridge the gap between traditional fashion portraiture and artistic mixed-media composition.
