Description

Between the Downtown Air for HERO Magazine serves as a masterclass in modern luxury fashion editorial, blending raw intimacy with a sharp, sculptural aesthetic. This striking series navigates the interplay between high-fashion composure and the quiet tension of the urban landscape. Through the lens of photographer Mikkel Jensen, the project leans into a sophisticated, monochromatic palette, frequently utilizing low-key / chiaroscuro lighting to amplify the textures of leather, silk, and intricate metallic accessories. Fashion editor and stylist Imaan Sayed curates a look that marries structural tailoring with avant-garde details—think voluminous ruffles and dramatic, glossy surfaces—creating a cohesive, editorial minimalism that defines the brand’s visual language. The set design by Miles Bettinelli, characterized by classic architectural molding and light-drenched window frames, provides a grounded, domestic backdrop that anchors the more abstract, cinematic portraits of models Pierrick Grégoire, Samuel Elie, and Tanya Churbanova. With casting by Evagria Sergeeva, the collective energy feels both deliberate and contemplative. By utilizing a mix of studio strobe and natural light, the campaign achieves a polished, enduring quality that elevates the subject matter beyond traditional portraiture, inviting the viewer into a world where every stitch and gaze holds significant narrative weight. This project successfully highlights the versatility of modern luxury, oscillating between gritty intensity and elegant, studio-bound serenity.
