GQ South Africa presents 'Beyond viral: Alla Bruletova breaks the frame,' an editorial fashion project featuring model Alla Bruletova. Captured by photographer Jumbo Tsui, the series transitions between the urban landscapes of Paris and minimalist studio environments to construct a narrative around bold, avant-garde styling. The imagery utilizes a raw, gritty aesthetic characterized by high-contrast flash lighting and direct shadows. Chiharu Wakabayashi provides makeup artistry, focusing on vivid, painterly palettes and sharp graphic accents that complement the eclectic wardrobe choices, from voluminous textured coats to sheer lace tailoring. The project leans into a spontaneous, street-level energy, emphasizing tactile details and bold color compositions.
