Esquire China RUSH ! TIME OUT 2025

About

RUSH ! TIME OUT is a fashion editorial produced for Esquire China that leans into cinematic street reportage. The project captures a series of dynamic, narrative-driven moments across urban settings, utilizing high-contrast lighting and a distinctively gritty visual language to frame the season's tailored menswear. Photographer Matthieu Delbreuve employs an analogue film aesthetic, characterized by deliberate grain and desaturated tones, to document the subject, model Bai, in motion against historical architectural backdrops. The work is defined by creative direction from Yuan Qian and sophisticated styling by fashion editor Nicholas Galletti, featuring a versatile wardrobe ranging from sharp suiting and tailored overcoats to casual knitwear. With casting by Olivier Duperrin and hair styling by Massa Yahiro, the imagery evokes the timeless energy of European street life through a series of composed, observational frames.
