Echoes of Existence is a fashion editorial feature produced for Esquire China. The series centers on a collection of portraits that balance high-fashion styling with a theatrical, atmospheric sensibility. Across the visual narrative, the subjects are captured in a variety of settings, ranging from dramatic, low-key lighting setups that emphasize rich, monochromatic red tones to cleaner compositions utilizing soft, natural light. Photographer Oliverjune and fashion editor Zhi Yong collaborate to highlight intricate textile details, such as voluminous floral appliques and lace-up textures, against both reflective surfaces and sculptural floral props. The project leans into a moody aesthetic, using chiaroscuro techniques and warm color grading to frame the subject’s composed expressions. The work maintains a consistent, polished editorial approach throughout the series.
