Dirty Talk, a beauty editorial project by photographer Emil Dietrich, explores the intersection of cosmetic application and human texture. The series employs a minimalist, high-contrast aesthetic to frame beauty as both an artistic process and a physical study, utilizing macro photography to capture the nuances of skin, pigment, and product. Collaborating with makeup artist and hair stylist Helena Narra, Dietrich presents a series of diptychs and grid layouts that pair expressive portraiture with analytical close-ups of cosmetic tools and textures. The imagery features models Chudier Billy and Louis Goeckenjan, whose styling highlights bold, graphic makeup applications set against clean, neutral backgrounds. The execution relies on a blend of natural light and studio technique, emphasizing a raw, tactile quality throughout the editorial spread.
