Dazed MENA
Imaan Hammam

Apr 2026
In this evocative series for Dazed MENA, photographer Davit Giorgadze captures model Imaan Hammam through an uncompromisingly sharp lens, resulting in a fashion editorial that feels both immediate and timeless. The project leans into editorial minimalism, utilizing a high-contrast color palette where saturated backdrops in primary red, orange, and yellow serve as the perfect foil to structured, architectural silhouettes. Working closely with stylist Omaima Salem, the imagery strips away the unnecessary, favoring a focused, graphic aesthetic that allows the textures of leather, glossy patent, and fine pleating to take center stage. The execution moves seamlessly between light-flooded studio strobe setups and moody, low-key chiaroscuro lighting, highlighting the versatility of Hammam’s striking features. With the expert support of hair stylist Pawel Solis and makeup artist Anthony Preel, the series elevates the classic portrait format into something distinctly contemporary, underscored by a deliberate use of negative space and crisp framing. Throughout the portfolio, the collaboration between set designer Rafael Medeiros and the creative team results in a series of compositions that feel curated and intentional. Whether utilizing natural light to soften a profile or clinical studio lighting to highlight the metallic sheen of jewelry and zippers, the project stands as a sophisticated exploration of modern luxury fashion, defined by its poise, chromatic intensity, and precise art direction.
