Crosscurrent’s 'From the Dance' fashion editorial presents a study in contemporary menswear, juxtaposing raw domestic environments with refined, classical interiors. Captured by photographer Chris Lensz, the series moves between candid, documentary-style street portraits and structured studio compositions. The work relies on a tactile aesthetic, utilizing natural light and an analogue film grain to emphasize the layering of textures, from distressed knits and velvet jackets to bold floral motifs. Fashion editor and stylist Alister Mackie anchors the project’s visual identity through diverse wardrobe choices that bridge the gap between relaxed, casual wear and elevated tailoring. The production benefits from the creative input of hair stylist Soichi Inagaki and makeup artist Anne Sophie Costa, who contribute to the series' intimate, lived-in atmosphere. Set design by Julia Wagner and casting by Piotr Chamier help curate the atmospheric, painterly spaces that frame the models, including Alec Cortoos, Charlie Tilling-Cole, and Elliot Belot.
