From the Dance serves as a sprawling fashion editorial for Crosscurrent, exploring the interplay between contemporary menswear and classical domestic environments. Captured through the lens of photographer Chris Lensz, the series moves between candid street-level documentation and staged, mood-driven portraits. The visual language leans into a rich, tactile aesthetic, frequently utilising analogue film and natural light to anchor the subjects within their settings. Throughout the series, styling by Alister Mackie highlights intricate fabric textures and layering, juxtaposing eclectic prints with denim and structured outerwear. The production features a collaborative creative team, including hair by Soichi Inagaki and makeup by Anne Sophie Costa, who contribute to the project's versatile range of atmospheres—spanning from high-contrast monochrome to warm, earth-toned interior scenes. Casting directed by Piotr Chamier and set design by Julia Wagner define the project’s grounding in carefully curated, lived-in spaces, whether in minimalist studios or ornate, traditional interiors.
