Crosscurrent’s Just Outside is a fashion editorial series that explores sculptural silhouettes and tactile textiles. Shot by photographer Robbie Lawrence, the project transitions between expansive, snowy outdoor landscapes and intimate, warm-toned interior portraits. The visual language relies heavily on analogue film and low-key lighting to emphasize depth, shadow, and texture. Fashion editor and stylist Matt Holmes focuses on avant-garde layering and geometric construction, featuring pieces ranging from voluminous netted headwear to pleated, structured gowns. The production features models Agel Akol, Coumba Mballo, and Peris Adolwi, with hair styling by Orlando Pita and makeup by Allie Smith supporting a clean, understated aesthetic. The work maintains a consistent, moody atmospheric quality through its careful use of chiaroscuro and minimal staging.
