Crosscurrent’s Just Outside is a fashion editorial series that explores the interplay of sculptural silhouettes and textured materials. Photographed by Robbie Lawrence, the project presents a suite of portraits that move between stark, high-contrast monochrome scenes and intimate, warm-toned interiors. Working with fashion editor and stylist Matt Holmes, the imagery highlights architectural garments through a lens of quiet, observational study. Utilizing analogue film techniques and a moody, low-key lighting approach, the series emphasises tactile details and graphic composition. Featured talent includes models Agel Akol, Coumba Mballo, and Peris Adolwi, with hair styling by Orlando Pita and makeup by Allie Smith providing a clean, understated finish to the aesthetic.
