L’âme is a fashion editorial campaign for Crosscurrent that explores the relationship between sculptural form and natural movement. The project, led by photographer Mark Borthwick, utilizes analogue film techniques to capture a series of stark, high-contrast compositions that contrast voluminous silhouettes with rugged outdoor landscapes. The series features model Laura Ponte, whose presence is integrated into the work through both traditional portraiture and experimental collage techniques. By alternating between monochrome photography and vibrant, saturated imagery, the editorial emphasizes the tactile qualities of the garments, ranging from fibrous textures to layered pleating. The creative team includes fashion editor and stylist Vanessa Reid and casting director Julia Lange, who together ground the artistic vision in a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
