Bottega Veneta
Pre-Spring 2024 Ad Campaign

Dec 2023
For the Bottega Veneta Pre-Spring 2024 ad campaign, creative director Matthieu Blazy leans into a candid, street-level narrative that blurs the lines between luxury fashion and documentary-style reportage. Centering on the effortless charisma of A$AP Rocky, the campaign captures the artist in a series of fleeting, unposed moments that feel less like a traditional fashion shoot and more like a high-end voyeuristic encounter. Whether navigating busy urban crosswalks or captured mid-run through quiet suburban walkways, the imagery utilizes natural light to emphasize the tactile quality of the collection, from sharp tailored blazers and vibrant leather trench coats to the house’s signature woven leather totes. By layering live-action technique with a gritty, paparazzi-inflected aesthetic, the visuals treat high fashion as a lived experience rather than a static display. The project oscillates between the polished, editorial minimalism expected of a luxury house and a raw, kinetic energy, utilizing soft shadows and golden hour luminescence to ground the surreal, vibrant accessories. Through this sophisticated lens, the campaign creates a compelling dialogue between the everyday mundane—a grocery run or a stroll to a parked car—and the elevated textures of the garments, cementing a vision of luxury that is as grounded as it is avant-garde in its execution.
