Beauty Papers presents Monroe, an editorial series that leans into sculptural beauty and high-concept portraiture. Shot by photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the project features model Alex Consani in a collection of avant-garde looks that blur the line between fashion and cosmetic objectification. The series utilizes soft, directional lighting and a neutral studio backdrop to emphasize textural details, ranging from garments constructed out of compacts and cosmetic containers to elaborate prosthetic-inspired makeup applications. Fashion editor and stylist Vanessa Reid anchors the visual narrative, while Olivier Schawalder provides structural, retro-inspired hair styling and Sam Visser contributes expressive, theatrical makeup. The execution relies on a clean, editorial aesthetic, accented by precise manicures from Ama Quashie and casting by Rosie Vogel.
