Beauty Papers: Drive

Drive is an editorial beauty series produced for Beauty Papers, defined by its stark, graphic aesthetic and rigorous attention to textural detail. Photographed by Davit Giorgadze, the project employs a clean studio approach, frequently utilising flash to accentuate the interplay between sharp lines and raw, human features. The visuals lean into a minimalist, surreal sensibility, often pairing human portraits with evocative, everyday objects like roses and palm silhouettes to create striking visual rhythms. Fashion editing and styling by Vanessa Reid anchor the work, coordinating a precise wardrobe of structured black leather and clean silhouettes that complement the series' palette. Beauty artistry is central to the project, with hair styling by Shiori Takahashi and makeup by Thomas De Kluyver—the latter shifting between bold, saturated tones and high-gloss finishes. Featuring set design by Emma Roach and manicures by Lauren Michelle Pires, the series is realised through a mix of macro photography and graphic diptych compositions.
