Nightwear by Mattia Parodi is a fashion editorial series commissioned by Annabelle Magazine. The project explores the intersection of soft, draped textiles and rugged, industrial environments. Under the creative direction of Mattia Parodi, the series captures model Margaux Martin across a variety of outdoor and interior settings, leaning into a juxtaposition between delicate, layered garments and harsh, textured backdrops like cracked stone, concrete, and corrugated metal. The aesthetic shifts between the soft, warm tones of natural light and the high-contrast, raw feel of direct flash photography. These editorial images use techniques like analogue film and grainy textures to lend the work an evocative, mood-driven quality. Makeup artist Daniela Koller provides a fresh, understated look that maintains a consistent thread throughout the diverse visual landscapes. The series highlights a range of silhouettes and fabric weights, from sheer slip dresses to quilted outerwear, all grounded by a refined approach to styling.
