Farbspiel for Annabelle Magazine presents a series of athletic, high-fashion editorials that lean into surrealism and motion. Photographer Isabelle Wenzel captures model Lois Schalkwijk in gravity-defying, mid-air leaps and dynamic poses across arid desert terrain and coastal sand dunes. The imagery relies on high-speed freeze techniques and harsh natural light to highlight the interplay between vivid, saturated garments and the minimalist backdrop of a clear blue sky. Creative direction and fashion styling were executed by Nathalie de Geyter, who pairs structured, voluminous silhouettes with graphic color blocking. The project, which utilizes analogue film aesthetics, is further refined by hair and makeup artist Suzanne Verberk. The resulting visuals emphasize kinetic energy and clean, architectural composition within a fashion context.
