Femme Forte is an editorial project commissioned by Altered States Magazine, centered on a series of studio portraits that examine the intersection of physical form and avant-garde fashion. Photographed by Sandra Seaton, the series uses a minimalist aesthetic to highlight muscular definition and sculptural silhouettes, drawing on a palette of neutral and monochrome backgrounds. The project features fashion styling by Hannah Elwell, who pairs architectural garments with unexpected textures—including pearls, rope, and metallic accessories. Supporting the visual narrative are hair styling by Masashi Konno and makeup by Terry Barber, both of which focus on clean lines and defined, intentional looks to maintain the project's surreal, minimalist quality. Throughout the collection, soft studio lighting is employed to emphasize the subject’s physique against sparse, clean environments. The editorial is captured across both vertical and horizontal formats, showcasing a consistent commitment to form and material contrast.
