Fragments, an editorial project for Alice.D Magazine, explores fashion through a series of surreal, highly textured photographic compositions. Shot by photographer Levon Baird with hair styling by Sophie Roberts, the series employs a mix of clean studio aesthetics and gritty, high-contrast monochrome treatments to examine the intersection of human form and botanical elements. The project channels an artistic, editorial sensibility across its imagery. Techniques ranging from multiple exposure effects to raw, low-key lighting setups allow for a deliberate focus on sculptural textures and stark tonal contrasts. Whether utilizing vibrant red backgrounds or the moody gradients of black-and-white portraiture, the execution leans into a tactile, conceptual presentation of style.
