Fragments is an editorial fashion series produced for Alice.D Magazine, showcasing a surreal approach to portraiture and still life. The project leans into an artistic aesthetic, blending botanical elements with human figures through tactile, high-contrast compositions. Photographer Levon Baird anchors the visual identity of the shoot, utilizing techniques such as multiple exposure and low-key chiaroscuro lighting to explore raw textures and abstract forms. The work consistently incorporates natural elements, from dried chamomile spills to botanical arrangements, to build a sense of transient beauty. With hair styling by Sophie Roberts, the images transition from vibrant, color-saturated studio setups to gritty, monochromatic portraits. The series emphasizes sharp silhouettes and clean, directional lighting to define the intricate details of the featured attire and styling.
