Protagonist in the Making is a fashion editorial series commissioned for Alice.D Magazine, showcasing a range of sculptural silhouettes and textured layering. Led by creative director Lucy Jane Brand and photographer Shan Stewart, the project leans into a clean, studio-focused aesthetic that highlights intricate details across apparel. The imagery utilizes directional soft light to emphasize the materiality of metallic trench coats, leather outerwear, and heavy knitwear. With styling by Cheryl Tan, the portraits balance a moody, desaturated palette with precise, expressive compositions. Hair by Richi Grisillo and make-up by Mikele Simone define the editorial aesthetic, incorporating wet-look hair and bold beauty choices. Produced by Alice.D Studio, the series adopts an analogue-influenced visual language to frame the subject's sartorial presence.
