Protagonist in the Making is a fashion editorial series commissioned for Alice.D Magazine, exploring structured silhouettes and high-contrast studio portraiture. The project leans into a clean, minimalist aesthetic, utilizing soft lighting to accentuate the tactile qualities of heavy outerwear, leather, and metallic textiles. Creative direction is led by Lucy Jane Brand with photography by Shan Stewart. The production, managed by Alice.D Studio, coordinates a series of studio-based portraits that incorporate gritty textures and monochrome palettes. Styling by Cheryl Tan, hair by Richi Grisillo, and make-up by Mikele Simone define the character-driven approach across the collection, bridging classic editorial poise with moody, contemporary styling.
