The Tyler Twins, a dynamic photographic duo comprised of sisters Katherine and Mariel, effortlessly channel their infectious energy into both their conversations and their captivating body of work. Hailing from Cleveland, the sisters embarked on their artistic journey with dreams of making a mark in the world of photography upon relocating to New York. Mariel's career took off serendipitously when she encountered renowned photographer Raymond Meier at a grocery store. Recognizing him from her internship at Teen Vogue, she seized the opportunity and soon found herself assisting him in the studio. This pivotal experience paved the way for her ventures with esteemed organizations like Getty, the NBA, and Sports Illustrated, ultimately leading to her role as Senior Photo Editor at elle.com. Simultaneously, Katherine began her ascent at iHeartRadio, where she quickly climbed the ranks to become National Photo Director. Though her initial focus was not on photography, her exposure to high-profile personalities was invaluable. As her role expanded, she took charge of event coverage and shot celebrity portraits, often collaborating with Mariel on various projects. Their first significant endeavor together was capturing portraits for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony back in their beloved Cleveland. The Twins' collaborative process is a seamless dance of creativity, with one sister ensuring that subjects feel at ease while the other expertly captures the moment.
