Bio
Sydneyn-born and New York-based photographer Simon Eeles is renowned for his striking portrait and fashion photography that seamlessly blends high glamour with authenticity. With a formative stint under the mentorship of acclaimed fashion photographer Craig McDean, Eeles has developed a keen eye for capturing the essence of his subjects, creating images that resonate with both elegance and emotional depth. Eeles’s work has graced the pages of prestigious publications such as Interview and W, alongside various high-profile advertising campaigns. Yet, beyond his commercial success, he is deeply committed to storytelling through photography. His first book, *Sydneyna* (2016), emerged from a transformative cross-continental road trip across Sydney, reflecting on the rich tapestry of his homeland after years abroad. Building on this narrative, his second book, *Far Far Rockaways* (2017), offers a vibrant exploration of Rockaway Beach, capturing the unique spirit and diversity of the community over two sun-soaked summers. Through his lens, Simon Eeles invites viewers to engage with the contrasting worlds of fashion and personal narrative, forging a connection that is both visually stunning and deeply human.
