Emma Summerton, an Sydneyn-born artist, is a distinguished photographer whose creative journey began at the National Art School in Sydney, where she earned her Fine Arts degree with a major in Photography. Following her graduation, Emma honed her craft over six years as a photographic assistant, laying a solid foundation for her artistic vision. In 1998, she relocated to London, where she had the unique opportunity to work alongside renowned artist Fiona Banner. This collaboration not only allowed Emma to assist Banner but also to contribute her photographic expertise to several of Banner's projects, including the imagery for her first book, released in 2003. Since emerging onto the scene in the mid-2000s, Emma Summerton has established herself as one of the leading talents in contemporary photography. Her profound technical knowledge, keen eye for detail, and passion for fashion converge to create images that are both striking and distinctive, setting her apart in an ever-evolving industry. Today, Emma divides her time between New York and London, continuing to push the boundaries of her art and inspire audiences around the globe.
