Stephan Vanfleteren, Photographer, Milan

Description

This powerful monochrome portrait, captured by photographer Stephan Vanfleteren in Milan, depicts an elderly bald man reclining against a large cushion on a textured floor. The subject is dressed in a dark, simple tunic and trousers, gazing thoughtfully toward the camera with a calm expression. A dramatic shaft of light illuminates the scene from above right, casting soft gradients across the heavily textured background wall and the floor. The composition emphasizes raw textures, deep shadow contrasts, and a quiet, contemplative mood.
