Benito Martin, Photographer, Sydney

Description

This overhead vertical photograph captured in Sydney by photographer Benito Martin features a slice of layered cake topped with a bright red cherry and chocolate strips on a fluted plate. Next to the cake rests a crumpled piece of parchment paper and two stacked striped ceramic coffee cups containing coffee with cream. The still life arrangement is set upon a white lace doily placed on a silver tray, which rests over a warm brown square-tiled surface. The scene is illuminated by directional sunlight casting sharp, clean shadows across the entire composition.
