Modern Weekly China Encountering an Ancient Village 2026

Description

This editorial photograph, captured by Ye Fei for Modern Weekly China as part of the project Encountering an Ancient Village, portrays a model seated atop a small dark moped. The model wears a loose pink button-down shirt paired with a patterned skirt and flat black shoes. They are positioned on a damp, reflective concrete overlook with scattered leaves, framed by vibrant green trees and banana plants. In the background, rolling blue mountain ranges stretch beneath a sky filled with scattered white clouds. Natural daylight illuminates the scene, casting soft shadows and highlighting the wet ground surface.
