About

An editorial photograph by Ari Marcopoulos captures a person standing inside the hollow cavity of a large, weathered tree trunk on a sandy coastline. The subject wears an oversized blue t-shirt and dark shorts, positioned centrally within the trunk opening. The background features a textured beach with scattered organic debris, meeting choppy ocean waters under an overcast sky. The composition employs natural daylight with film-like grain, emphasizing the stark architectural form of the tree against the coastal landscape.
