Rivian marks the 2026 Halloween season with a branded cinematic commercial that integrates the automotive brand’s electric vehicle platform into the Ghostbusters franchise universe. Directed by Matt Soldan and Gil Kenan, the spot leans into a gritty, nostalgic aesthetic, featuring an R1-series vehicle outfitted with specialized ghost-hunting equipment. Cinematography by Guillermo Garza captures atmospheric, foggy residential night scenes. The production combines live-action technique with extensive VFX provided by Nexodus Studios and Sony Imageworks. Original music and sound design were composed by Andy Forsberg and Pacific Standard Sound to mirror the film series’ established auditory landscape.
