Selena and Apolline serves as a fashion editorial series for Zara, defined by its minimalist studio portraiture and nuanced location work. The project centers on the interplay between layered textiles and clean composition, utilizing a monochromatic palette and soft lighting to highlight intricate details such as lace, ruffles, and heavy knits. Photographer Adam Peter Johnson captures the models, Selena Forrest and Apolline Rocco Fohrer, in a series of direct, high-contrast frames. The styling, curated by Vanessa Reid, emphasises volume and texture through the combination of sheer fabrics, leather outerwear, and patterned separates. Hair styling by Kalle Eklund and makeup by Celine Martin maintain a polished aesthetic, rounding out a visual narrative that bridges stark white-backdrop studio work with restrained architectural environments.
